Teradata Developer (*4 OPENINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!)* Detroit MI 6 Months – long term Rate 45/hr C2C *** * * * *About the job: *** 1) The Data Warehouse Programmer/Developer will provide in-depth systems analysis, application design/development and support in a Teradata data warehousing and MVS mainframe environment under the direction of a team lead. 2) Perform all aspects of systems life cycle: define requirements and design, develop, test, implement, document, and support data warehousing applications for enhancement and strategic projects 3) Gather data requirements through facilitated sessions with business customers and design data models based on those requirements 4) Coordinate and work with numerous groups including business customers, application development and data/database administrators to develop information solutions 5) Participate in developing consistent definitions and mapping of data sources for the enterprise. 6) Use project management and systems development life cycle methodologies 7) Handle multiple project assignments with minimal direction and escalate issues as necessary to management 8) Be flexible to respond to changing priorities 9) Provide support of existing data warehousing applications including participation in off shift duty analyst pager rotation 10) Work on-site 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday 11) May be required to work weekends *Skills Required: *** 1) Over five years recent experience in a Teradata, data warehousing environment 2) Over five years experience with relational databases, advanced SQL and extract, transform and load (ETL) programming/tools/utilities. 3) Extensive experience with Teradata MultiLoad, FastLoad and BTEQ is a must. 4) Strong mainframe skills including MVS, JCL, CA7, TSO/SPF, COBOL is preferred 5)Strong data design, data modeling and facilitation skills 6) Exceptional analytical experience of complex applications and data relationships 7) Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills 8) Strong drive for results and ability to work independently 9) Self starter with proven innovation skills 10) Ability to work with cross-functional teams and all levels of management 11) Demonstrated commitment to quality and project timing 12) Demonstrated ability to document complex systems 13) Demonstrated experience creating and executing detailed test plans 14) Experience in obtaining and understanding business requirements 15) Experience with the complete data life cycle 16) Experience with financial business functions and BI/OLAP tools a plus *Experience Required: *** 1) Seven or more years in Information Technology. 2) Extensive experience with Teradata MultiLoad, FastLoad and BTEQ 3) Demonstrated experience creating and executing detailed test plans *Experience Preferred: *** Familiarity with MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook) *Education Required: *** Bachelor's degree in an information technology related discipline -- Regards Santosh Delight Consulting Services LLC. 2565 S.
