*Duration:* 9 Months + SKILLS: "The SPLUNK Platform Engineer’s responsibilities include • Design solutions and concepts for data aggregation and visualization. • Build Splunk apps from ground up for Splunk to interact with 3rd party software/hardware. • Splunk deployment, configuration and maintenance across a variety of UNIX and Windows platforms. • Populate Splunk from 3rd party data sources (i.e. bash/python scripts/SQL DB/APIs). • Develop reliable, efficient queries that will feed custom Alert, Dashboards and Reports. • Populate Splunk from 3rd party data sources (i.e. bash/python scripts/SQL DB/APIs). • Design and maintain production-quality dashboards. • Participate in design discussions and author design documentation. • Map design artifacts to system requirements. • Troubleshoot Splunk server problems and issues. • Mentor and train Splunk users and administrators. • Solve complex Splunk Integration challenges. • Debug complex Splunk configuration issues. • Communicate with peers and supervisors routinely, document work, meetings, and decisions Main skills and qualifications • Experience in using scripting languages to automate tasks and manipulate data. • Experience customizing applications and dashboards. • Working understanding of Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems. • Proficiency in any object oriented programming language is a plus. • Ability to program in Python, Perl, Shell is desirable. • Familiarity with Java-based server applications & logging frameworks. • Exposure to database technologies such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle. • Understanding of Network Firewalls, Load-balancers, and complex network designs. • Experience with search terms, ability to do correlation between data sets, data indexing. • Understanding of enterprise logging, with a focus on application logging. • Understanding of regular expressions. • Outstanding verbal and written communication is a must." *Warm Regards,* *Rohan Kumar* Pyramid Consulting, Inc. *O: *770-255-3278 E: rohan.ku...@pyramidci.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
