Kindly send your resumes to m...@rgbsi.com Position: Software Developer Location: Willoughby Hills, OH Duration: 3 Months Rate: Open *Job Description:* - This is a highly technical position that requires a detailed understanding a wide range of enterprise application and web server technologies, software and operating systems, as well as business objectives and system requirements. - Candidate will work directly with Enterprise Architecture teams and the business units in the development, refinement and enforcement of standards and practices in the J2EE and Integration spaces. - Ability to think out of the box and the ability provide real-world solutions to critical business problems is key to success in this position. - Responsible for the production support of a highly available web infrastructure comprised of multiple Solaris and Linux systems using SunONE and BEA J2EE web and application server technologies. - Candidate will provide direct technical support for all requirements in the planning, coordination, development, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to the infrastructure components as well as applications to run within the infrastructure. - This position is also responsible for interaction with teams providing support for the OS, network, security, database, coding/development and integration components necessary to provide enterprise web applications to our customers. - Ensures stable performance and reliability through performance monitoring and tuning. - Performs capacity planning and workload modeling of the environment. - Plans and implements major systems software upgrades, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are followed. - Acts as a project manager in planning, directing, and coordinating activities of Portal, Content Management, business unit applications and UNIX infrastructure projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Monitors customer project activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of said activities is in line with Company’s architectural goals and processes. - Assume technical responsibility for administration, operation and architecture of the Enterprise Web Farm infrastructure. - Analyze functional requirements and architect state-of-the-art, well integrated, and cost-effective web infrastructure solutions. - Communicate highly technical aspects of architecture and integration effectively in a customer-consulting role. Participate with other groups such as Infrastructure Services, E-Business, Corporate Systems, and business community to provide ongoing operational and project status. The ability to clearly communicate technical solutions or problems to all levels of the business is key to success in this function. - Ensure delivery of a scalable Web and Application server infrastructure that fits with business needs across applications, technologies, and facilities. - Perform and define technical scope and objectives of Enterprise Architecture infrastructure implementation projects. - Perform and assist with project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks, managing to business-critical timelines. - Prepare infrastructure implementation reports for Enterprise Architecture management, client, or others. - Perform work with infrastructure operations and development personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. - Perform disaster recovery plans, processes, and procedures necessary to recover services in the event of a declared disaster. - Perform work at the highest technical level with an in-depth understanding of system performance configuration and tuning techniques. - Candidate should have a 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience. - Must have a proficiency in Solaris, HP-UX or Linux operating system environments. - Must understand J2EE concepts and technologies: JSP, Servlets, EJBs, JMS - Must have experience in UNIX Shell Scripting or PERL Programming. - Must have proficiency with at least one of the following (more than one preferred): *Sun ONE Java Enterprise Suite (Web, Portal, LDAP, Application Server), BEA Platform Suite (Weblogic Server, Integration, Workshop, Portal), JBOSS Enterprise Application Platform, JBOSS Community Edition, Tomcat, Apache or equivalent experience.* - Working knowledge of troubleshooting J2EE performance issues using freely available toolsets or commercial debuggers/profilers such as Wily Introscope and Wily CEM. - Working knowledge of UNIX system performance tuning and its implications on web applications. - Ability to solve problems independently, quickly and completely. - Ability to develop and champion proposals and technical documents to diverse individuals within all levels of the organization. - Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it effectively to business needs. - Strong customer focus and management of customer expectations. The ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence with our customer base is key. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple teams to solve problems.
