Duration: 5 Months Rate: Open Please respond with below information:- Full Name Visa Status Current location Duration Contact number & email ids Best rate on c2c/1099 Availability Relocation Responsibilities • Responsible for maintaining all network switches, routers, wireless access points, voice communication systems/servers, network services (DNS, DHCP) and network ancillary devices like the Authority'S Remote Access Server (RAS). • Oversee internal and external routing protocols, network capacity planning, VLAN configuration, network redundancy and alarm/event monitoring. • Manage network security through active monitoring of the network systems and services, network scanning and support for the IT intrusion detection and firewall services. • Promote industry standards and guidelines for best practices. • Comply with open standards. • Act as a liaison to WMATA's IT teams. • Work with Network and Communications staff in the day –to –day operation to include the configuration and maintenance of network equipment, monitoring of network performance, and system administration of network devices and hosts with a particular emphasis on switches, routers, and network/communication servers. • Install a variety of network hardware and network technologies. • Assess hardware and software configurations and recommend products based on requirements and manufacturer specifications. • Configure equipment and software. • Train others. • Work in a team environment. • Document solutions. • Assist with design. Minimum Requirements • Experience working in an enterprise networking environment. • Experience performing basic network design, installation, configuration and documentation of IP enabled voice and data networks. • Understanding of Cisco's product line, and an understanding of integrated communication services (VoIP, Wi-Fi), and WAN circuits and services (Tl 's, Frame Relay, TLS). • Experience with the implementation of enterprise voice and data network hardware protocols like MPLS, SIP and Multi-cast. • Understand interior and exterior routing protocols, and be proficient with other network services and configurations like VLANs. • Work independently to configure, manage and troubleshoot multi-protocol network elements throughout the OSI stack to ensure effective end-to-end communications for WMATA. • Experience supporting a network architect and network management team. • Understand all aspects of enterprise networking, and have prior experience in the design and deployment of large integrated communication networks/services in a large scale enterprise environment. • Experience working with Cisco and Avaya products and services and have an expert level understanding of network security.
