Location: Candidate needs to be in Beaverton, OR for the assignment. Onsite interview may be required. Bill Rate: At or below $45/hr Duration: 12 months **Candidate should meet all required skills and have EXCELLENT communication skills. As a Lead Java Application Engineer for the client's eBusiness Application Engineering team, you'll work with Information Technology and business partners to perform analysis, technical documentation, coding, installation, ongoing support and team leadership. You'll collaborate with our business and technical teams to define business problems in detail and establish functional, data and technical activities, including conceptual system design, technical design and documenting detailed specifications. You'll also work with other technical leads to plan new releases, explain requirements, direct a team of other application engineers in development efforts and resolve problems. In addition, you'll diagnose issues and ensure technical solutions meet performance and quality requirements in production. You’ll be a key member of the team, enabling application engineering efforts across the enterprise. Requirements for the position include: (Must meet or exceed all skills outlined below) • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or equivalent • 8 years of experience in Information Technology • 7 years Java programming experience, including J2EE design and JSP • 4 years experience working w/ Web Application Servers • 3 or more years experience creating automated unit test cases using JUnit or TestNG • 2 or more years of experience working with dynamic mocking tools (EasyMock or JMock) • 2 or more years of experience working with Hibernate or other object/relational persistence and query services. • Web-Service (prefer CXF) and REST • Lucene/Solr experience preferred • Flash/Flex experience preferred • ANT • Spring • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentation experience • Ability to understand challenges or concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses • Ability to provide engineering task work effort estimates. • Proven track record in managing a dedicated team of engineers to deliver projects on time and to agreed specification. • Proven ability to analyze performance issues using java/.net profiling tools • Proven ability to work in a Test Driven Development manner • Proven experience working in conjunction with Project Managers, Account Mangers, Business Systems Analysts and key business resources to achieve successful outcomes.
