Position : Oracle DBA Location : Washington. DC Duration : 6+Months *Need local to DC, MD or VA* *Inperson required.* *Need only US Citizens* Job description: The primary position will provide IT support for our ERP (Deltek Costpoint) which relies on an Oracle database. Responsibilities may include: 1. Performing health checks of Oracle databases, checking and validating, backups, performing crash recovery tests and performance tuning. Applying all the Oracle critical patch updates. 2. Making sure all the systems and their interfaces are error free and supporting the end users for any production issues. 3. May be asked to design interfaces, reports and systems based on specifications given by the vendor or internal resources. This may be performed with a Cognos Enterprise Reporting tool as well as with SQL tools (e.g., PL SQL Developer) 4. SQL DB skills, Windows Terminal Server, and Java 5.
