Sharepoint Application Developer (Consultant) Start: ASAP Location - NYC 6-9 months + MOI:: T + F *Key points are ::* *They are migrating from SharePoint 2007 to 2013. They need to free up the onsite developer from some of the BAU and support work so* *1) must take direction from current Developer onsite on day-to-day support ont hings like SharePoint 2007 lists, libraries and web parts (they use web parts heavily)* *2) will work on migration too. will build / migrate new page so migration is must have experience* *3) some SQL and .net important too * Job Description Summary: The Application Developer reports to the Manager of Application Development and is responsible for implementing technology solutions that are aligned with the long-term IT strategy of the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage projects of medium to high complexity using standard business analysis and project management methodologies. • Architect and implement integrations between core systems. • Develop custom applications as needed by the business. • Customize and enhance third party platforms and applications. • Effectively communicate with IT developers and external vendors. • Perform installations/upgrades, provide support and troubleshoot system issues. • Responsible for the implementation of Intranet web sites and pages with the focus on UI custom solutions and front-end design. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: • The SharePoint Web Developer is responsible for the design and development of intuitive, functional, interactive web interfaces on the Microsoft SharePoint platform. • Development experience with SharePoint 2007/2010/2013 APIs, Workflow, and SharePoint Designer. Experience with web technologies such as HTML, XSL, Java-Script/jQuery, and CSS. • Develop custom web parts, application pages, master pages, event receivers, workflows, timer jobs and integration with third party tools like Telerik or jQuery. • Deploy and support custom built and out of the box solutions with SharePoint 2010/2013 • Development experience with Microsoft .NET (2.0-4.5.1) and Object Oriented Programming, ideally including C#, ASP.NET WebForms & MVC, ADO.NET and SOAP / REST Web Services. • Experience in relational database design and development, preferably SQL Server. • Experience with Visual Studio .NET (2010 and above). • Experience with team collaboration tools/source control applications, preferably Team Foundation Server and Visual Source Safe. • Display a high degree of inquisitiveness and an eagerness to learn at a detailed and abstract level. • Highly self-motivated with a strong business sense to capture and fulfill the business requirements for all products and articulate in an architecture model. • Knowledge of standard legal software applications including but not limited to iM-anage/Autonomy products, CRM, Microsoft Office suite of products, and SharePoint. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Services or business related field • Minimum 5 year’s experience working in an information services department or organi-zation. • 5+ years of experience in developing custom UI solutions in SharePoint 2010/2013. • Minimum 3-5 year’s experience with .NET development. • Nice to have: 3-5 year’s experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, SSRS, SSIS.
