*Duration* – end of year minimum, most likely extended from there- *Contract to Hire potential- must likely not* *Candidates must USC or GCH only and semi local* *Interview Process* – phone screen and if his tech lead likes them enough they would bring in for an in person *Project* - They would be supporting a year long project that would involve web services, messaging technologies (Rabbit MQ), Spring Framework, core Java. Basically back-end Java work *Job Description:* · Minimum of 3 years software development experience · Passion for technology and solving difficult problems · Proficiency in Java and at least one other programming language · Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) · Competency in unit testing and test-driven development (a plus) · Experience with Java build tools (Maven, Ant, Ivy) · Experience developing Java backend applications and services · In-depth knowledge of web technologies and protocols · Experience with version control systems (*Subversion*, Git, Mercurial, etc.) · Experience on Linux/UNIX environments · Ability to work well with others · Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to tailor communications to both technical and non-technical audiences Desired Skills: · Experience with search technologies (Lucene, Solr, Endeca, Whoosh, Sphinx, etc.) · Experience with JavaScript and JSON · Experience with the Spring Framework · Experience with developing, deploying, and managing applications on Linux · Experience with messaging technologies using AMQP and JMS · Experience serializing/deserializing data using JSON or Protocol Buffers Regards: Sam Williams - Recruiting Manager ITBrainiac Inc.
