*Role: Server Storage Engineer (VMware Site recovery, MS Azure flavor) * *Duration: 6 month Contract* *Location: MN (LOCALS)* *Interview Process: Face-to-face only* Hiring a Server Storage Engineer in Minneapolis, MN - 6 months contract Desired experience and job responsibilities are listed below. Work with the Service Center to handle customer issues, utilize system control tools such as SCCM and ensure reviewed system implementations for technical completeness. • Utilize Solarwinds / Orion to proactively monitor and manage Windows Systems; monitor the data centers & remote sites, and perform compliance changes. • Install new hardware and software according to established templates, provide feedback on improvements to process, and respond to system failures. • Build and deploy server hardware and operating systems, install ISV software as required. • Provide administration of a multi-farm VMware server environment with P2V and v-motion • After hours and weekend work may be required to ensure limited impact to production systems. • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Basic Qualifications: (required) • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Technology, or Computer Science • 5 plus years of IT experience as a systems engineer to include: o Configuration of Active Directory, GPO and central management of remote servers. o Working knowledge of Windows based applications and application connections o Knowledge of hardware requirements and configurations for IBM, HP, Dell or EMC o Hands-on experience in managing a multi-tier multi-site server environment including Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and 2008 Standard and Enterprise in both stand-alone and clustered environments Preferred Qualifications: (desired) • Juniper / CISCO network environment including NIC bonding • SAN design and architecture including LUN, fibre switching and meta concepts • Mutli-data-center SAN/NAS replicated environment with an understanding of configuration of NAS and iSCSI • CommVault backups, recovery planning, and administration including interfaces with the Exchange e-mail archive client • Support of IIS Web farms and multi-node web support ______________________________________ Best Regards, David Johnson - Sr IT Recruiter MANIFEST Technology Email: da...@manifesttechnology.net This email message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
