Here is the job description: Title: Database Services Lead Location: Pleasanton, CA Duration: 6 Months *Rate: $ 50/ hr Max* Locals Preferred *Roles & Responsibilities:* Work with a team of Subject Matter Experts, Vendors, Technical Project Managers, etc to effectively deliver projects & initiatives and you will require the capability to work in large cross-functional teams. You will contribute to enterprise-wide strategic planning, technical governance for information exchange & harvesting, as well as assist in managing tactical responses. Essential Skills: Must be an excellent leader capable of motivating, managing and directing highly skilled professionals tasked to manage and provide database services primarily in realm of Oracle. Person must have at least 10 years experience in managing and working in similar capacity and has a significant design and implementation experience on Oracle RAC, Data Guard and related Physical Design. Have Developed standards and practices for database installs, administration, backup & recovery, features and functionality of an ORACLE 10g RAC based environment. Can provide guidelines and help for setup, configuration, management and support of database platforms across multiple locations. Provided training and support to customers/users and can act as a Subject matter expert in this area. Acts as a technical lead and mentor. Excellent problem resolution and analysis skills. Must be able to present complex data/concepts in a clear, understandable, and meaningful way for reporting to upper management. Strong written and verbal communications skills, including effective meeting management; prepare and present (PowerPoint/Visio); documentation templates for various procedures when needed. Good analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Able to work well as part of a team as well as be self-motivated. Must be open to flexible work schedule to remain in-step with project and organizational needs. This position may require travel up to 15%. Qualifications: 1. Healthcare industry technology/standards and emergent technologies preferred. 2. Familiarity with at least one major EMR/EHR vendor product, e.g. Epic 4. Familiarity with InterSystems Cache DBMS is a plus. 5. Clinical Data Model 6. Consulting experience is preferred. 8.
