This includes the following four groups of activities: 1. *Business Intelligence* - Product Evaluation, Solution blueprint, Requirements gathering, design evaluation, and functional roll out of BI solutions to end users. The Business Intelligence Architect is also responsible for ensuring the solutions are designed for high availability and faster response to support the user analytical functions. 2. *Data* - Ensure the data model is designed, developed, and implemented with enterprise-level applications and systems view. These models shall be architected at the following layers: conceptual, logical, business area, and application. This individual will act as the primary advocate best practices in the following areas: data modeling, data aggregation and data use. 3. *Reporting and Analytics* - Act as a central point of contact to evaluate and examine the reporting and analytical needs for various business units across the enterprise. This individual will use industry best practices and proven methodologies to develop reporting structures for general / specialized reporting needs. The Business Intelligence Architect is also responsible for proactively monitoring the data requirements of the enterprise, compile the findings, and furnish the recommendation / improvements to leadership to improve processes, operational procedures, and their corresponding reporting structures. *Education:* Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering or Equivalent *Professional Experience:* · Extensive experience in installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting SAP BI applications · Proven experience with reporting tools, software, and other applications, including, BI 4.0, Data Services, Rapid Marts, and IBM Cognos. · Proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling. · Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling. · Experience with databases, and data warehouses, such as Oracle , MS SQL Server, · Expertise in Business Objects tools, such as Scheduler, Designer, Data Integrator, and BO Universe design. · Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices. · Hands-on knowledge of enterprise repository tools, data modeling tools, data mapping tools, and data profiling tools. · Experience with business requirements analysis, entity relationship planning, database design and report visualization · Object oriented programming experience (e.g. using Java, .NET etc.).
