Immediate Need - Solutions Architect - Minneapolis, MN / Atlanta, GA - Start ASAP!!! *Solutions Architect* *Minneapolis, MN / Atlanta, GA* *6+ Months Contract* Qualifications: The organization has initiated a project to scope and solution the implementation of an eCabin Logbook. This project will automate the handling of discrepancies in the cabin and will position client to pursue a full Electronic Logbook (ELB) in a future phase. The Project Architect’s primary objective is to leverage client's mobile platforms and existing aircraft interconnectivity technologies and devices (Gogo WiFi, Inflight SkyPro smartphones, Flight Ops eLink tablets) to implement electronic reporting of cabin discrepancies. A vendor product will be chosen based on ability to meet current and future ELB requirements. The ELB Project Architect must be capable of partnering with the selected vendor to define and implement the system architecture required for the eCabin Logbook, also considering future scalability to the cockpit aircraft logbook. In this role the architect needs extensive experience in creating, socializing, and efficiently progressing large scale projects. The project architect must also be able to document and provide various levels of technical design. The candidate must have experience in leading a team to a technical solution, while simultaneously establishing what trouble shooting procedures may prove crucial for support. The Project Architect must have experience on multiple hardware and software environments and be comfortable with complex heterogeneous applications. The candidate should have experience in Windows mobile applications as well as creating, socializing and leading the architecture of multiple sub-solutions of a large project through the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The project architect performs in a variety of different roles in the project life cycle. Responsibilities: The role requires the individual to be responsible for the execution of the overall solution design for the assigned project. The architect identifies and translates system requirements into a prescribed architecture blueprinting and guide process by building/maintaining the necessary project artifacts. The role reports to the Principal Architect and requires collaboration with Domain Architects, Project Manager, and IT Portfolio Manager. This architect role provides leadership to the IT development team lead and the developers to ensure the solution is achieved through the delivery of the approved technology.
