The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide technical leadership in designing/defining business requirements and source system analysis documents, designing job sequences, designing DataStage containers and other reusable components, defining parameters etc. Experience with data analysis, data modeling and the IBM Information Server software running in large data volume environments is a must. Must be able to understand and enforce standards around data classification, confidentiality, and integrity. Must be able to work well with data analysts. The position requires a self-starter who can demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ø Lead proof of concept implementations for new system integrations and new technologies. Ø Participate in prototyping, design, implementation, QA phases of project lifecycle. Ø Provide leadership on technical issue resolution and project delivery. Ø Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development process, tools and best practices. Ø Provide team leadership through mentoring, collaboration and development activities. Ø Author technical documentation. Ø Rotating pager support a requirement. Ø Other duties as required. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ø Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Info Systems or equivalent experience Ø 3-5 years of development experience in IBM Information Server Ø Solid communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment Ø Seek out and champion new development, configuration and implementation efforts within current engagements providing the bank with long term value via technological and business process modifications. IBMInformation Server Ø Should be able to follow data standards, troubleshoot and resolve data issues and create or update system documentation. Ø Create test plans and create routines where required for error handling and capturing metrics. Ø Work on automation/sequencing of IBMInformation Server jobs. Ø Must be familiar with IBMInformation Server. Ø Experienced in working with different stages in IBMInformation Server. Ø Should be able to define and implement transformation rules within IBMInformation Server. Ø Must be experienced in IBMInformation Server implementations on UNIX and should also be able to write Shell scripts if necessary.
