*Location: Charlotte, NC*

*Duration: 12 month contract*



This position will be part of the 2nd level Production support team for
Contact Center Technologies platform support. This team supports the
Enterprise call center technology platforms for 30+ business units,
including Sales and Service technologies.



Performs second level diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution for
intermediate to complex multi-tiered distributed application issues
(primarily using Websphere Application Server.)  Orders, tests, certifies,
installs and configures new and upgraded hardware and software.  Coordinates
and implements move/add/change service requests.  Responds to break/fix
issues, escalating to and managing or coordinating vendors as needed.
Monitors application performance and proactively handles capacity and
scalability constraints.  May be responsible for overall change management
process.  Acts as project coordinator and/or subject matter expert on
Websphere Application Server environment.  Maintains documentation.



4 year degree and 5+ years experience or equivalent

combination of education and experience



Responsibilities

Configure and deploy applications using Websphere Application Server 6.x and
IBM HTTP Server (Apache)

Test deployments in lab/dev environment before migrating to production
environment

24X7 on call responsibilities, including weekends and Holidays for multiple
business lines

Communication to management



Trouble ticket work (Remedy/Pac2000)

Assists in after hours work for deployments, installs and fixes

Maintenance/support of Server side Java Technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong communication skills written and verbal, with multitasking
capabilities, and a good sense of urgency and prioritization

Strong follow through with little supervision

Unix (Solaris, AIX) or Linux (Red Hat, SUSE, Fedora) experience

Websphere Application Server 6.x experience

Thorough understanding of Server Side Java Technologies and Middleware
technologies

IBM HTTP Server (Apache) experience

Understanding of IVR platform

Understanding of call center environments

Preferred Skills:

Java Development

Web technologies

Reporting technologies

Monitoring methodologies

Genesys background (Genesys/VoiceGenie, Periphonics, Intervoice)

CTI background (Genesys/Cisco)
