The client is looking for an experienced infrastructure architect with a
strong background in server management and support. Responsibilities
include high level to low level solution design and risk assessment for
technical initiatives such as server consolidation, virtualization, and
business outsourcing initiatives. Handling operational escalations and
executing on project delivery is also required.
The environment is comprised of several managed service providers, shared
services organizations, and outsourced data center providers. Candidates
must be able to work with service providers, consultants, and other external
personnel in the execution of various projects and multiple strategic
initiatives. In addition, good customer relation skills within the business
environment are a necessity. The ideal candidate possesses the traits of
conceptualizing and recommending solutions at a high level while still
retaining enough technical ability to execute at a hands on level.

· NAS
· SAN
· HP/Compaq hardware
· Fiber channel
· Active Directory
· IIS
· DNS
· DHCP
· Server clustering
· Exchange
· Blackberry Server (BES)
· Scripting capabilities - Power Shell and/or VBScript
· Patching technologies such as SUS or SMS (Configuration Manager)
· Experience in enterprise level architecture
· Excellent documentation ability
· 10 years experience
· Bachelor’s degree
