*Job Description**:*

- Qualified candidate will work with the client’s team to analyze the
identified COBOL programs and modifying the existing COBOL program or
convert to a Stored Procedure
- All modifications to the existing applications shall adhere to the
clients standard utilizing and client standard architecture
- The client is in the process of developing a case management
application for the agency.
- A component of this project is to analyze the existing ‘batch’
applications and determine the most efficient way to insure they will
accomplish the new business requirements.
- There are currently 4 COBOL programs and 8 store procedures that will
need to be modified.
- The identified applications are written utilizing an Informix
database.
- Informix will continue to be the database for the clients application

Experience developing and maintaining Cobol programs.

Experience in developing applications / queries using an Informix database.

Experience in developing and maintaining Informix Store Procedures.
Strong
Experience in reading Development Use Cases and applying the required
changes to the existing application.
Strong
Experience analyzing existing Cobol programs to determine, based on the
business requirements, if the program would be more efficient re-written in
a stored procedure.

Working in a team environment
Strong
Experience successfully completing tasks under a tight deadline.
Degree or Equivalent
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of
education and relevant experience required
