*Senior Business Analyst with some PM experience* *Metro Detroit, Michigan* *6 + months (possible extensions)* *Rate: Open best* *Interview: Phone/F2F/Skype depending on location* *Job Description* The Business Analyst with Project Management skills will be responsible for initiating and leading short, medium, and long term feature/functionality business and technical requirements that support the business plans and strategic business initiatives of the client. The BA/PM will be required to work with business stakeholders to create requirement specs and work with existing business specs as well to determine the needs of the technical team. *Job Responsibilities* - Act as a liaison between IT and the Business teams and develop a strong relationship / partnership with the business and IT. - Facilitates gathering moderately complex business requirements by defining the business problem, identifying data requirements and isolating data elements. - Maintains and assists in the development of moderately complex business solutions, which may include web-based solutions, data, reporting, business intelligence or analytics. - Develops and maintains various project artifacts including but not limited to: Business Requirements Document, Functional Specification Documents, Business Process Flows, User Test Cases, etc. - Assists in the creation/maintenance of project plans and maintaining the project issues and risks logs - Supports the technical teams in the elucidation of business /system requirements and performing root cause analysis for issue resolution - Leverages a basic understanding of multiple data structures and sources (possesses a working knowledge of multiple data stores) to perform moderately complex data manipulation using standard data extraction and analytical tools and techniques. - Overseeing technical design reviews and code reviews. - Ensuring that all SDLC processes are followed by the development team. - Leading the effort to implement coding standards. - Leading the effort to migrate legacy systems to the .NET framework - Develops intermediate business knowledge of the functional area and processes to understand the application of data information to support business function. - Drive and reinforce organizational agreement on data definitions, business rules. - Supports the implementation of technical data solutions and standards. *ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:* - Bachelor’s degree in business or technical area, or suitable work experience. - Great coordination and negotiation skills. - Advanced Excel skills, proficiency with Power Point, Word and other Microsoft Office Applications required. - Needs to work with customers, the business and technology teams to identify, assess, define, document, and negotiate for the “best” product features and functionality - Prior experience in the Business Analysis/ Project Management, with proven experience in one or more significant, complex, software development projects. - At least 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to lead and facilitate meetings and other product design, development and support sessions - Ability to think logically and document own ideas and those of others - Ability to comfortably meet with (both face-to-face and via phone/web-conference) interview and support internal and external customers. - Experience with and knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional databases (Oracle, SQL Server), Web based Applications like .Net, Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS etc, statistical analysis and business intelligence (BI) tools *Regards* *Santosh* Delight Consulting Services LLC.
