Job Responsibilities: Administers the operations of storage and backup systems. Key Responsibilities: Maintain high end and mid-range storage systems, maintain FC switches and backup equipment Maintains the operations of all storage and backup systems to ensure availability Troubleshoots and resolves any IT service issues related to storage and backup; partners with the other infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve related issues Leverages optimization techniques to maximize the efficiency of all storage and backup systems Implements and maintains a systems business impact assessment to prioritize storage and backup recovery in the event of a failure Devise and implement the policies for storage and backup systems Other duties in some cases may include scripting or light programming Critical Experiences: Sound knowledge of administering at least one high end (VMAX, VSP) and one mid-range (VNX, NetApp, HUS, V7000) storage system 3-7 years of experience Sound basic knowledge of architecture of SAN and NAS storage systems Knowledge of UNIX OS, VMware, Windows OS - 2 to 4 years of experience Knowledge of at least one backup product (CommVault, Networker, HP Data protector).
