*Need VB.Net Developer in GA - 1 year contract!* Position : VB.NET Developer Location : Atlanta,GA(Need someone from Eastern zone) Duration : 1 year Job description: Client is currently seeking an energetic problem solver and application developer with proficiency in the areas of .NET, SQL, and object-oriented design concepts. The candidate will become a member of the team supporting mission critical systems where the work is fast-paced and dynamic. Our ideal candidate is an experienced self-starter that is flexible and can change gears rapidly to contribute where needed. He/She must be able to effectively communicate with other team members, managers and customers both verbally and in writing. This is a contract position.. Minimum Requirements: 5+ years of experience developing enterprise-sized client/server applications. Extensive experience coding VB.NET for desktop applications. Extensive experience coding complex SQL statements and stored procedures in an OLTP environment. Must be able to write native SQL without the use of a development tool. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong debugging, coding, and analysis/design skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability for coming up to speed on unfamiliar technologies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This resource will be part of a team of 20+ and will interface with application development and infrastructure teams in Atlanta GA as well as with business areas. The resource will participate independently and collaboratively in the design, development, and implementation of continued enhancements to the assigned applications. The activities include analysis, design, development, testing and knowledge transfer to other team members. The resource will also participate in the routine maintenance and support of those applications. This includes resolving issues as they are reported, researching questions and making enhancements/fixes to the existing applications as well as participating in the on call rotation for the team.
