*System Admin Location: Washington, DC Length: 6 Months*
Need to start this Monday Desktop support role (it is more of a system admin role): We need someone coming out of a smaller shop, where he/she was handling the entire infrastructure (i.e. both servers and desktops). Top 3 skills would be - Troubleshooting (DT and server issues, VDI - VERY IMPORTANT, Exchange - VERY IMPORTANT, Some Hyper-V (not a deal breaker). This candidate would be providing support to around 120 users on both desktop and server issues. Their desktops are all virtual , hence a very strong support experience in a VDI environment is mandatory. The other support issues are normally on Exchange, so mandatory. On the back-end, they are virtualized using Hyper-V, so as long as the person as some understanding on Hyper-V, it will be a big plus. Knowledge of back-ups, firewalls, etc ...
