The scope of work is to provide the skills specifically regarding the design, testing and deployment of virtualized servers, primarily in support of virtualization/consolidation project. Complete Description: · VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) desired · Advanced hands-on 5 year experience with VMware ESX OS 4.x, VSphere VCenter Server. · Advanced knowledge of VSphere VCenter Server in enterprise environment including but not limited to patching, configuration and troubleshooting. · Advanced knowledge of VM Clustering/ HA/ DRS. Ability to configure ESX in cluster, setup HA, DRS and VMotion Functions. · Advanced knowledge of analyzing VMware Performance metrics before and after conversions. · Knowledge of HBA configuration, SAN, Disk Configuration. Experience in HP Command View and EVA4400 desired. · Advanced working knowledge of and 8 years or more experience with network administration of Microsoft Windows Server and related technologies. · Meticulous attention to detail, skilled in providing documentation for IT management, ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and to work both independently and in a team environment · Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. · Legally eligible to be hired by any employer in the USA. · Primary responsibility of converting physical servers to virtual. Design, testing and conversion of existing physical servers to virtualized servers under VMware ESX. · Installation of patches and upgrades to servers and network devices. · Other network administration duties as assigned, installing server and network equipment and software.
