*Strict Note: Only GC, GC EAD or US Citizen's* *Locals are preferred...* *Title: Senior SQL DBAPosition Type: 6 Months ContractLocations: Houston, TX* *Position Summary:* Under supervision, design, install, monitor, and maintain computerized database. Support database logical and physical architecture, installation, monitoring, and maintenance. *Key Responsibilities:* • Determine logical and physical architecture requirements necessary to create new applications. • Create models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones. • Install upgrades to keep existing applications up to date. • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases. • Install and configure relevant network components to ensure database access as well as database consistency and integrity. • Implement new database technologies to improve functionality. • Perform calibration of production databases to ensure high levels of data availability. • Create standards for installation, operational support, and information security for SQL to adhere to corporate IT standards. • Follow work plans, established timelines, and pre-defined goals for assigned work. • Meet commitments on deadlines. • Communicate activities, results, and observations with employees and management as appropriate. • Identify areas for improvement in existing business practices. • Perform work thoroughly in a cost efficient manner and at a high productivity level. • Comply with all corporate policies and procedures. • Report any breakdowns in controls to management. • Conduct all activities in a safe manner. *Knowledge and Skills Required:* • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience • 3+ Years of experience in administrating SQL Environment with minimum of 10 servers. • Experience installing, maintaining, and monitoring the entire SQL Stack (SQL Engine, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Analysis Services, and SQL Integration Services) • Experience in analyzing database performance, and provide recommendations for production environments • Experience and ownership with SQL Clustering or high availability solutions • Experience with SQL Replication • Familiar with command line tools, system stored procedures, DMV, and Windows Administration • Understanding of Change Management Process • Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy • Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates and technical developments related to applicable area of the Compan business to proactively respond to changing business environment • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) *Thanks & Best Regards,NIBIN | AddOn Technologies, IncPhone: 734-956-4737 Ext: 163Email: ni...@addonusa.com <ni...@addonusa.com>Url: www.addonusa.com <http://www.addonusa.com>http://ca.linkedin.com/in/samtechzilin <http://ca.linkedin.com/in/samtechzilin>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
