PL/SQL Developer. This developer will lead the analysis, development, and
implementation of information system solutions for a large IT project with
one of our best clients. As a developer he/she will work with a team of
.Net developers and Oracle DBAs to ensure the successful data transfer
between multiple database applications. EEA's existing application utilizes
.Net for the UI and middle tier services with Oracle 10g database
connectivity (migrating to Oracle 12c).
Responsibilities for PL/SQL Developer
1. Designs, tunes and develops packages, procedures and functions to
perform database activities on behalf of mid-tier applications.
2. Writes complex PL SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, and triggers;
3. Ability to write efficient, complex queries against very large data sets
using TOAD
4. Designs PL/SQL implementations.
5. Optimizes existing PL/SQL packages.
6. Reviews the PL/SQL queries of .Net developers on the team and makes
suggestions to improve and make more efficient.
7. Develops work flow diagrams, data flow diagrams and data mapping
documents.
8. Analyzes and extends XML Schemas, Creates database schemas in concert
with the Data Architect and Database Administrator;
9. Troubleshoots, debugs and optimizes code to ensure performance and
security requirements.
10. Works with Database Administrators, Web Administrator, Release Manager,
Quality Assurance Manager, and other ITO staff, as warranted to expedite
software fixes that affect production, data quality, and access.
Qualifications for PL/SQL Developer
1. Advanced performance tuning skills in PL/SQL are essential .
2. Expertise with ORACLE RDBMS, SQL-Plus, PL/SQL, and Toad.
3. Expertise in advanced PL/SQL techniques in a 10g/12c environment.
4. Expertise in SQL tuning of large database environments.
5. Experience with applications needing connectivity to Oracle in both
native and ODBC environments.
6. Strong background in dealing with XML data type. Familiarity with Oracle
SQL Extensions for XML
