*REQUIRED SKILLS:*

Bachelor's degree in a computer science, business or production related
field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing and working on software
development projects. At least 5 years’ experience in large scale system
implementation efforts following a standard software development lifecycle
approach. Strong process, quality assurance, incident, problem management,
and general operational experience as well as experience in vendor
management and/or application development & support outsourcing
arrangements are required. Strong knowledge of industry standard
development methodologies and technologies. Experience working on multiple
projects and activities simultaneously, and providing high level of support
is required. Strong process, quality assurance, incident and problem
management and general project-based experience are required. Demonstrates
expertise in software development concepts, practices, and procedures. *Prior
experience in the health care information technology industry is preferred.
Progress 4GL (OpenEdge) application development including Web Client, App
Server preferred.* *Microsoft .NET, C#, or Java. Relational database
management system concepts and object design as related to software
application solutions. Application design and development planning. Backup,
recovery, and contingency planning. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and
Visio.*


*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*

This position is responsible for managing the design, development,
implementation, integration, and support of the organization’s application
software. This position is also responsible for defining, documenting and
implementing best practices and standards.
Responsibilities:

   - Performs management and oversight of the Application Architects,
   Programmers, and the Production Support team
   - Oversee all design and development tasks
   - Demonstrate expertise and leadership in the area of system design and
   development concepts, practices, procedures, and governance
   - Plans goals and objectives for the application architects, team leads,
   and programmers
   - Ensure that all team members are performing at a high level to meet
   the needs of the company; ensures that the appropriate metrics are
   collected to support the objective assessment of individual and team
   performance
   - Mentors team members and assesses their quality, performance and
   effectiveness
   - Leads or participates in design and code reviews
   - Performs resource administration, resource planning and resource
   allocation for the Architects and development teams and organizes
   accordingly, including the establishment and revision of internal operating
   practices and procedures and the scheduling/assignment of staff
   - Ensure that production support and break-fix work is prioritized and
   completed appropriately to avoid or minimize impacts to business operations
   and customers
   - Collaborates with IT and business staff to ensure that project goals
   and milestones are met
   - Defines, documents, implements, and enforces best practices for
   application design, development, version control, code migration,
   implementation, and application support
   - Ensures the ability to recover the system environment to the most
   current operational state in a timely manner in the event of a major system
   problem or disaster
   - Ensures data security and integrity
   - Participates in work and project estimation and scheduling
   - Collaborates with Technical Delivery Leads on project planning and
   staffing
   - Performs quality audits on the work to ensure work products meet or
   exceed the defined standards
   - Leads or assists with problem triage, troubleshooting, and resolution
   - Assists with department budget preparation; manages budget process and
   monitors compliance with budget parameters
   - Perform other duties as assigned



*Senior Oracle Developer*
 Location is Highland Park, MI
6  + month Contract
Rate: $55-60/hr (Depending on C2C/W-2 / 1099
*May Require locals OR In-person Interview*


Excellent understanding of Oracle database and its objects like tables,
views, directories, sequences, etc.

   - Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler to design ERDs and create build
   scripts
   - Experience with SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer or SQL*Plus
   - Oracle SQL experience in creating views and queries
   - Oracle PL/SQL experience in building packages, stored procedures and
   functions
   - Oracle Scheduler to automate programs
   - Linux Korn or Bash shell scripting (using vi)
   - Jitterbit or Experience with ETL tools and procedures
   - Participates in data acquisition and transformation delivery and may
   provide oversight and technical checkpoints to enforce standards and
   quality of solutions. Responsible for collaborating with the IT support
   teams to ensure that technical architecture complies with guidelines and
   restrictions for Dialog Direct leveraged environments.



*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Assist in the ongoing development of technical best practices for data
movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL-related activities.
Ability to do ETL development and possibly to supervise and guide ETL
development activities of other developers
Provide technical knowledge of Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) solutions for
projects
Ability to communicate with the Business Analysts and Solution Architects
when it comes to converting the ETL design into specific development
activities
Expert skills in Oracle and Jitterbit design and construction -
understanding the tradeoffs of various design options
Understands and implements best practices, tuning and optimization for
Oracle and Jitterbit tools
Will need to be able to:
*Serve as the Lead Designer of all ETL activities for a specific project*
Work closely with project to ensure that the end to end designs meet the
business and data requirements
Work closely with Project Manager to develop and update the task plan for
work and to keep the manager aware of any critical task issues and
dependencies on other teams
Develop the task plan for a specific project
Lead and assist the creation of the data layer
Perform checkpoints/reviews on presentation layer designs and code being
created by the ETL developers
Unit and Integration Testing activities and assist in User Acceptance
Testing as needed
