Role: Web Developer Duration: 9 months Location: Boston MA Rate: Open The Web Developer is responsible for the technical implementation of projects, processes, and initiatives in support of web marketing. The Developer takes an essential role in maintaining and improving the website building framework constructed for our new Content Management System (Ektron CMS) in ASP.NET <http://asp.net/>, C#, and JavaScript. This position requires that the developer work both collaboratively and independently to provide various types of websites as specified by Marketing stakeholders, and to take on new web marketing initiatives as needed. This position must interface with internal stakeholders in many areas of the company to implement projects. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Programs websites from approved design layouts and functional requirements. Programs, configures, administers, and updates the Content Management System (CMS) running on the Ektron platform. Creates and maintains web services, back-end databases, and related applications. Reliably deploys website files and data to servers. 2. Creates and documents technical designs. Partners successfully with web designers and other web developers on the team and others in various internal departments to ensure websites are built correctly and perform optimally. 3. Makes code revisions to existing websites as directed. Ensures cross-browser compatibility, performance, and robustness of websites.
