Initial 6 month contract
Builds, maintains, and modifies the central basis network and
infrastructure of SAP operability, including base SAP client and IMG
set-ups. Involved in installing and linking SAP software based on topology
given. Assists in system performance tuning and database reorganization and
helps drive design and construction of the SAP technical architecture.
Typically 2-3 years experience with Basis module and 2+ years experience
with operating systems and relational databases.

Key responsibilities of the SAP Basis Database Administrator include:
• Installation, upgrade and maintenance of SAP systems.
• Provide database services and consulting to the design and implementation
teams and sap support team
• Analyze, develop and maintain data architectures and process models within
SAP
• SAP performance and tuning
• Oracle database backup and recovery administration
• Evaluation and design of interfaces between SAP R/3 and external systems
• Maintenance of the SAP Data Dictionary and Oracle database objects
• Migration of SAP application programs and data dictionary objects into
production
• Cutover implementation support
• BASIS configuration administration
• Provide emergency support 7 days x 24 hours for SAP Basis.
