Please reply on *ra...@ar-sys.com* * * *Title: SQL Server DBA* Duration: *4+ Months Contract* Location: *St.Paul, MN* *Engagement Description: * This DBA position will work with DEED's senior DBA in administering DEED's SQL databases which run in an SQL 2008 Server cluster. These databases support several mission critical Department applications as well data warehousing and reporting activities. The position is responsible for some off hour database maintenance activities, scheduling backup jobs and alerts, as well as adding SQL software patches and performing database upgrades. A significant portion of this positions time will be devoted to supporting data warehousing activities. Knowledge of Data Warehousing, business intelligence, SSAS, SSIS and SSRS is important as well as SQL Report Manager and the interface between Reporting Services and SharePoint 2010. Experience with SQL Diagnostic Manager is part of the job and familiarity with Idera SQL Server software tools is desired. Experience with large data bases is needed as well as familiarity and experience using Team Foundation Server. This position also has responsibilites intefacing SQL Server with File NET and On Base document management systems, so familiarity with these two document management systems is helpful as well.
