Job Title: SQL Server DBA Location: New York, NY Duration: 6 Months Contract
Manager is looking for someone who has strong SQL Server DBA skills (SSIS, Stored Procedures, Temp Tables,Table Valued Functions, Views, Reporting Services, and Indexing/performance troubleshooting) first. The system is still a very data-heavy app and SQL Server skills are key. Also important is ASP.NET experience (VB or C#)with some light JavaScript,with jQuery experience preferred but NOT required. Lastly, someone who has the communication skills to be able to speak directly with the team and analyze issues. They need to be self motivated and able to "ask the next right question" so that they can arrive at an answer quickly. With this, they need an ability to learn the business rules behind the data and not look at the application as simply technology.
