IPv6 (if they don’t have, must be willing to learn) *Job Description:- **Secure Network Infrastructure (SNI) Architect – Spokane, WA – 9+ months- required to be on-site.* Job Requirements The ideal candidate will be a Senior Network Engineer with design-level experience of Routing and Switching (R/S) concepts utilizing Cisco and Nexus within a multi-protocol environment. Candidate should also possess deep technical knowledge in the implementation of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Static), IPv6 addressing and proper network planning, and multicast routing within IPv4 and IPv6 address-families. Deep technical understanding of the layer-2 foundations of a network (STP, VLANs, layer-2 security constructs) considered a must-have, as is the interfacing between layer-2 and layer-3 segments (such as SVI configuration, FHRPs, and first-hop router security configuration). Understanding of security infrastructures (PKI, CA, etc) considered a plus, but not required. Foundational understanding of wireless networking (vendor neutral conceptual knowledge) is a requirement, with understanding of low-frequency (900MHz) mesh networking an advantageous plus. Candidates should have a background that includes troubleshooting and debugging in both lab and operational environments as well as have the ability to communicate effectively with customers (across all technical and management levels) as well as internal colleagues. - Implement and support local area networks (LAN), wide area networks, (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data networks. - Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance. - Demonstrated capability of analyzing, debugging, tracking, fixing and preventing network security and performance issues. - Able to confidently manage systems via the command line. - Define blueprint designs for business technology initiatives. - Able to multi-task, prioritize, and resolve multiple customer inquiries at once. - Able to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues. Technical Qualifications · Experience with security constructs and architectures (router/switch security configuration and PKI-based infrastructure) · Experience with WAN VPN architectures and configuration, including IPSEC-over-GRE and FlexVPN · Strong background on Palo Alto equipment · Strong understanding of configuration of Palo Alto · Very strong network design experience, including IPv4 address families, as well as multicast routing in both · Preferred experience with IPv6 · Design IP plans, having some previous exposure to different enterprise infrastructures · Deep working knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including layer-2 and layer-3 concepts and protocols (STP, FHRPs, OSPF, BGP) · Very strong working knowledge of various Cisco routing and switching platforms and their configuration.
