*Job Title : Sr PL/SQL Developer with HIPAA 837 Claims experience Duration : 6+ months Location : Phoenix, AZ * JOB REQUIREMENTS: 5 years experience in PL/SQL programming (Oracle 9i/10g) Knowledge of HIPAA 837 i, p and NCPDP transaction formats HIPAA 837p (Professional claims) HIPAA 837i (Institutional/UB claims) NCPDP pharmacy claims Unix Shell Scripting also a plus Good exposure to 4010 to 5010 migration JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Troubleshoot Testing/QA of HIPAA Encounter transaction processes between agencies. (HIPAA 837 p, I, & NCPDP) 2. Ability to technically coordinate Testing/QA of file formats, HIPAA segments, mapping with claims management system. 3. The selected consultant will test and QA of these files, check the files for accuracy and fidelity to HIPAA standards, assist with running the files through the validator and community manager and check the final mapping into the system. 4. The consultant must have the ability to troubleshoot potential coding issues within the new system in the technology platform specified. 5. Correction of any PL/SQL package errors. PROJECT & POSITION OVERVIEW: The system utilizes a Unix/Oracle based technology platform. We will submit the 837 claim files in HIPAA format using a standardized mapping document. The incoming files are parsed and loaded into an Oracle Load table. PL/SQL packages process the data from the load tables into the regular encounter tables with some minimal data validations (e.g. dates etc.) There is related business logic embedded within the PL/SQL packages. Following the successful processing of the data, an outbound file is created and the file is transmitted to another agency using a secure ftp process. Client runs their claims processing tests once a week.
