Sr. QA ENGINEER Metro Detroit area, MI *6 months contract to hire* *Local and hirable candidates only* *Must be USC or GC* *Must Interview in-person* *Responsibilities:* - Write and execute detailed test plans, test scenarios, test scripts and associated data for functional and regression testing for all software/patch releases - Report defects, analyze results, both front end and backend testing for multiple products. - Review Functional and Technical requirement documentation. - Work with the development team to understand and resolve quality issues. - Generate test reports, tests results, & project status. - Participate in reviews & planning meetings. - Maintain test documentation and collaborate with team members. - Assist the scheduling & estimation of target dates for testing deliverables. - Follow standards, procedures and methodologies. - Continuous evaluation of testing process improvements (methods and strategies). - Identify and drive the implementation of testing tools, techniques and methodologies that generate a successful application. - Promote knowledge management & knowledge sharing processes and tools. - Support projects through all stages of the development lifecycle. *Requirements:* - 7+ years Hands-on Software Testing experience. - 4+ years Back-end Testing & Automation Testing - Building and Executing SQL queries for testing purposes. - Testing Tools: Rational Robot or similar automation product is a plus - *SDLC Testing methodologies.* - Able to handle multiple and shifting priorities - Fast-paced, client-focused, dynamic environment with minimal supervision. - Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills. - *Knowledge of the web browser technology stack (HTML, XML, JavaScript, etc.).* - *Comfortable working on Linux/UNIX environments is a plus.* - *IBM WebSphere experience and familiarity FileNet core components (CE, PE, Workplace XT) and/or FileNet ECM is a plus* - Fast learner that takes pride in their work and is very passionate about software technology and product quality. - Bachelor’s Degree in CS or similar related field. - Significant experience working directly with development staff to identify and resolve defects.
