We are seeking a UI Developer to provide system design, programming,
database design, documentation, and ongoing application maintenance. This
person would also interpret specifications and create system design.
*Job Title : UI Developer
Location : Washington, DC
Duration : 6+ Months Contract*
*The responsibilities for this position include:*
Design and development of web application systems using HTML5 and
JavaScript.
Application design, design of database views and stored procedures and
assignment of tasks to members of a project team.
Building of programmatic interfaces between various application programs
developed by other groups within the department or the division. This is
done in collaboration with developers of other groups.
Creating system and application architecture by defining all components of
the system and how they interact.
Detailing the technology used to implement these systems and diagramming
all components with all appropriate details. These decisions require the
approval of the supervisor.
*Must Haves*
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structured programming, web
applications, database operations, and markup languages especially XML and
HTML5.
In depth knowledge of JavaScript and experience with JavaScript Frameworks
like Angular is necessary.
Thorough understanding of Object Oriented Design and development and should
have experience in Java programming language.
Knowledge of the use of XML as a data interchange format, SQL query
language and database schema design.
Knowledge of how to work on large projects involving various components and
multiple programmers.
Self-motivated person, who keeps open and transparent communication with
all members of the group, promptly informs his/her supervisor of any issues
or problems that may arise and could jeopardize the delivery date of a
project or some commitment.
Knowledge of JASON and Node.js technology is necessary.
*Highly Preferable*
Ability to analyze the requirements, break a project down into tasks, plan
the use of the technology, and then execute the application development and
testing.
Proven track record in completion of development projects, debugging and
maintenance.
Knowledge and experience of RESTful web services is highly preferable.
Track record of responsiveness to users.
