*Sr Java/ETL Developer (should have good in Java with Sqoop) * *Location: NYC* *Contract:6+ months * *Interview: Phone Screen and F2F (Local or neaby candidates only who can go for F2F)* *The most important tech is very strong (Java #1) and then Pig, Hive and sqoop. * Main Duties: " Load and transform real time data into analytics environments " Java development " Interact with System Architects, Data Architects and Data Scientists " Performance analysis and capacity planning " Test systems for scalability and stability Skills/Requirements: " Have a passion for developing efficient, testable, and well-documented code " Experience with distributed systems " Love to work with open source technologies like Hadoop and love to build software in the cloud " Experience with common Object-oriented design patterns as applied to Java " AWS SDK experience with an emphasis on EMR, SWF, S3 " Experience with Maven and GitHub.
