This individual will also be responsible for building and supporting Business Objects Universes. The candidate must have expertise manipulating, analyzing and reporting on complex data sets and will serve as a subject matter expert on all Business Objects related activities. The individual must have a solid understanding of the Business Objects BI Platform and the functionality available across the tool suite, e.g. the strengths and weaknesses of the available BI solutions and how to best apply them towards optimal business solutions. The right candidate must be able to work in both structured and unstructured environments, have excellent data analysis skills, the ability to read and quickly comprehend data models, and the ability to deliver on multiple projects over multiple timelines with a flawless customer-centric focus. * **Requirements* · Expert knowledge in *Business Object XI R2/XI 3.1* and the *Business Objects Reporting suite* of applications, including *Web Intelligence* and * Xcelsius* (*minimum 5 years experience*). · Solid experience with the development and implementation of large-scale *Reporting* and *Data Warehouse* applications. · Practical experience in the design of relational and multi-dimensional database models. · Extensive hands-on *SQL* development with *PL/SQL* and writing reports against *Oracle 10/11g* databases. · Ability to tune *SQL queries* and recommend indexing strategies to optimize report performance. · Attention to detail, self motivation and the ability to work against time sensitive deadlines. · Proven ability to communicate and partner with technologists and end users. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Experience working in the financial industry, e.g. Custody, Investment Banking, Capital Markets. *NOTE:* We have multiple opportunities with the same skill set, would appreciate if you could refer any of your friends/associates/colleagues.
