Position Description Seeking a highly capable Windows engineer with a track record of delivery and extensive experience in the application management space. This is an opportunity for a candidate to work for a global investment bank on a team which is distributed globally and has sole responsibility for design, build and management of over 100,000 seats, both physical and virtual. Skills Required * Expertise with all aspects of software deployment from packaging to deployment and management. * Expertise with Microsoft desktop & server operating systems (Windows XP/7 and 2003/2008) * Understanding of Windows infrastructure services (e.g. AD, GPO, CIFS, DFS) within the enterprise * Experience managing system and user configuration across large 10,000+ seats, distributed environments (multi-region) * Strong troubleshooting mindset (i.e. parsing event log, sysinternals tools, analyzing memory dumps) * Ability to write technical and operational management documentation (system design and engineering documents, operational runbooks) Skills Desired * Scripting ability highly desired (whether with PowerShell, WMI, VBScript, etc.); development experience is a plus * Experience with relational databases is a plus * Experience with virtualization technologies (i.e. VMware, XenServer, Citrix) is a plus * Experience giving presentations, strong communication skills * Any Windows development experience a plus (C#.
