(WAS being WebSphere Application Server). Key Skills: Extremely strong in Core Java, basic shell scripting, and extremely strong troubleshooting/development experience on WAS and WebSphere 8.x Network Deployment (i.e. WAS ND). *Job Description* 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE web applications Knowledge and experience with UNIX shell scripting languages utilizing solid coding practices (code re-use, functions, and comments); perl, korn shell, bash shell *Hands on experience in SOAP/REST web services * Experience in node JS and react is preferred Hands on experience with javascript/HTML Troubleshooting experience on IBM WebSphere Application Server and experience with WebSphere 8.x Network Deployment is preferred AIX 5.x/6.x experience preferred Candidate should be able to combine technical skills with overall application requirements to implement creative solutions Must be an adaptable and self-motivated team player with strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills Able to work autonomously as well as collaborating as part of the team Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required, with ability to create and deliver effective solutions on time, and provide accurate project timelines estimates Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or has equivalent work experience Has experience in multiple IT disciplines with a proven understanding of architectural concepts (data, technical, and solution), issues, and trends knowledge and understanding applications systems design, and integration, with a detailed understanding of Object Oriented programming methodologies Extensive experience using a systems analysis and design methodology, and an excellent understanding of industry trends and tools J2EE and Gang of Four design patterns, Hands on experience with Spring Framework, Junit, automated and manual testing.
