This person needs to be an excellent communicator and team player. The bulk of the work will be focused on WCF services to retire legacy systems core to the .com eCommerce environment. The developer should have excellent communication skills, debugging skills, and some experience working in an agile / scrum environment. Based on the requirements I anticipate we would need someone with 3+ years on the low end, but more likely 5+ years of experience. · .NET Framework & ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> with C# · Experience with 3.5 required, experience with 4.0 is ideal. · WCF · Understanding of WCF framework, security, debugging, and extensibility points. · Experience building & consuming SOAP services with WCF · Experience building REST services with WCF exposing XML & JSON · Azure · While it is not required, the ideal candidate would have at least some familiarity with the Azure platform including features such as AppFabric Access Control, SQL Azure, Storage, Compute. · SQL · SQL Server 2008; Creating tables, writing stored procedures, and debugging. · Spatial data experience and performance tuning are ideal but not required. · Other Technical · Visual Studio 2010, preferably with TFS experience. · Experience writing Unit tests and / or Web Tests for integration testing.
