Required: I have a new requirement today I wanted to share with you for a SOA / BIZTALK ARCHITECT located in Richmond, VA. Please let me know immediately if you have any candidates for this position. Job Description: Work with the client to design and implement service interfaces that integrate Oracle E-Business Suite with existing city applications. Develop a project plan for SOA implementation within the first 90 days of engagement. Manage the project to achieve successful implementation under the established parameters of cost, schedule, and quality. Communicate any project changes, risks, and budget allocation issues immediately to DIT management. Devise and document a SOA architectural model for the City that utilizes BizTalk Server 2010, includes both flat file and service-based interfaces, and allows for the eventual conversion of the flat file interfaces to services. Implement and administer the BizTalk ESB Toolkit for managing enterprise application integrations. Incorporate ERP interfaces and possibly other system interfaces into the ESB. Work with DIT developers during this process, providing them with BizTalk guidance and training. Implement SOA governance for service registration, publishing and provisioning, versioning, monitoring, auditing, and security. Integrate SOA governance procedures with existing application lifecycle processes in Richmond DIT. Document architectural standards and guidelines for service lifecycle within the SOA. Train DIT staff in SOA analysis and design, BizTalk Server application development, and the BizTalk ESB Toolkit. The candidate should have five or more years of experience with BizTalk Server, .NET and WCF service development, and working within a service-oriented architecture. Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle SOA Gateway will be a plus. The candidate must have implemented at least one enterprise SOA, including a service bus, and have demonstrable expertise implementing SOA governance processes. The candidate should have at least five years’ experience managing IT projects. SOA experience in a state or local government would be a plus.
