Experience with Sybase 15 including replication
Sybase IQ & Sybase ASE experience
Experience in performance & tuning of OLTP & data warehouse applications
Experience with database design & performance tuning
Knowledge of MS SQL and/or Oracle RDBMS is a plus
Experience with Linux, Solaris, and/or UNIX
Excellent oral & written English communication skills
Must be highly organized with ability to work well under pressure;
sensitive to risk and controls
Experience in project management, technical lead and/or general IT
management role preferred
Bachelor’s degree (4 year BA / BS or equivalent) in Computer Science, MIS,
CIS or related field preferred
Extensive hands-on experience within the IT industry administering Sybase
and SQL DB Application servers in a production environment.
Ability to work independently, manages projects, take ownership of tasks
and be held accountable for the delivery of high quality products, and
customer services.
Experience implementing and utilizing Systems Management, Performance
testing, and monitoring tools (Splunk experience a plus)
Experience with DBMS, Networking, and Server technologies a plus
Working experience in a large complex enterprise, preferably Financial
Services
Excellent communication skills: delivering precise accurate information.
Adapting language style to a wide range of audiences.
