Beacon HIll MA 1 year contract GC/Citizen only The Sr. System Administrator will plan, develop, implement and manage networking and server-based solutions in order to a meet the business needs of the SEC. The primary services handled by the System Administration team include: Server hardware troubleshooting and configuration Operating systems troubleshooting and configuration for both Microsoft and VMware Disaster recovery planning and testing, including backup and restore; remote software installations and upgrades Asset management Virus protection Network performance monitoring Network hardware troubleshooting and configuration Messaging services Network security including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance procedures Internet connectivity, including firewall and VPN services
The Sr. Network Administrator must be able to manage network services from the planning phase through the implementation and management phases. He or she will interface with other team members, management, and end-users on a regular basis. After hours availability is required in order to respond to emergencies, and to perform system maintenance that cannot be completed during normal business hours. Skills Required: MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED BA/BS in CS, MIS or equivalent experience Minimum of five years experience supporting the following is preferred: - Server OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 / 2003R2 / 2008R2 Active Directory and 2012R2 - Messaging: Exchange 2010, BES, and ProofPoint - Desktop OS: Windows XP and Windows 7 - Backup: Symantec Backup Exec 11 or higher; EMC Avamar - Anti-Virus: Symantec Endpoint Anti-Virus 11 or higher - Deployment tools: SCCM Minimum of four years experience installing, configuring, administration and managing - Storage: EMC (Unisphere, Centera, Celerra, VNX, and Data Domain) and Sun StorageTek SAN - Virtualization: VMWare ESX Experience with configuring and troubleshooting server hardware (Dell and Client preferred) Microsoft/VMware certifications preferred A Highly self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks while prioritizing and delivering results on time.
