Job Description: The candidate will serve as a business analyst in the Financial System Group of FISA. The Business Analyst will support the Accounting, Budget, and Procurement systems which are under the umbrella of the city's Financial Management System (FMS). The FMS Business Analyst will perform the following activities: • Analyze and document business requirements • Author functional specifications. Review functional specifications with business owners for approval. Review functional specifications with technical staff during transition to technical design and coding phases of the project. • Author technical specifications for interface and conversion software. Review technical specifications with staff during transition to technical design and coding phases of the project. • Construct additional reports as requested to supplement the pre-defined reporting capabilities of FMS. As needed, work with PISA report development staff to package and deploy supplemental reports into catalog available to authorized end users. • Investigate and resolve software issues and defects reported by business users and others. Work with technical analysts to research problems and find and implement solutions. • Supplement the activities of the FISA Integrated System Test team as necessary.
