They will be responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of production databases and data dictionaries in compliance with application specs and company policies, standards and procedures. Manages and maintains all production and nonproduction Oracle databases. This candidate needs to have Oracle operation support and DBA experience. Their primary task will be maintaining the health of the applications and support the applications team. On a day to day basis this candidate will be working 20% on projects and 80% on operation support. Also, these candidates will need to maintain and support Oracle databases in a 24x7x365 production environment on Solaris or Linux. They will be provided pagers and need to be prepared for anything. Will be responsible for backups/recovery, database refersh using RMAN and datapump (expdp/impdp). They will be migrating databases from solaris to linux. The candidate needs to have extensive experience functioning in an environment that is supporting multiple databases.
