4 or more years of data modeling and reporting experience using IBM Cognos technology (10+ version or earlier) · 4+ years of experience developing ETL mappings, sessions/jogs and flows (IBM DataStage and IBM Cognos Data Manager) · Ability to work in a fast paced team environment, with ability to initiate solutions and work independently with minimal supervision. Must demonstrate an ability to work in a team environments and maintain effective working relationships · Should be a self-starter and result oriented. He/She willing to explore different reporting options to present to our business community. · Strong analytical skill · Stay abreast of reporting technologies and how they can be applied in our changing environment. JOB DESCRIPTION The candidate is required to work in a dynamic data warehousing environment with constantly evolving business requirements and should have an exposure to multiple BI implementations in the areas canned, ad-hoc reports and dashboards. Must have hands on experience in creating reports, and dashboards using Cognos Report Studio and other related Cognos reporting tools. Research and implement self-service reporting tools and related models. Strong technical skills and knowledge in the use of Cognos Business Intelligence tools with an emphasis on Cognos Report Studio to create reports from both relational (Mostly SQL server) and OLAP (TM1, Power Play Cubes) Possess Solid database programming skills in SQL including design and implementation of complex views, stored procedures, views, and SQL statements. Design and implement database packages using Framework Manager to publish to the BI server to serve as data sources for reports and for end users to use in creating self-service ad-hoc reporting. Manage the Metadata to support all reporting capabilities Good experience in implementing Cognos security, clear understanding/experience on the Report bursting/distribution of the report technologies. Analyze data sources, design and implement queries and views to meet reporting needs. ETL Exposure/Expertise in Datastage Infosphere or Cognos Data Manager ETL tool or SSIS.
