Title : Sr. Java Web Developer (JAVA Certified preferred) Location : DE. Duration : 1 Year Job Description: This position is a long-term contract located at the Transportation Management Center (TMC) in Smyrna, Delaware. Work hours will generally be 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday (37.5 hours per week). This position falls under the Integrated Transportation Management System (ITMS) Program which seeks to develop a highly integrated system for managing and sharing transportation data for gaining efficiencies in traffic management. There are some requirements for after hour and weekend support. Mandatory Skills Required: Java web application development (7+ yrs min). Java Servlet 2.5 specification application design and development. Java OO programming background. JEE 5 SDK and later. Jetty Server 5.0+ and Apache Tomcat 6+ (Servlet containers). Apache Web server configuration and maintenance. XHMTL, JavaScript and CSS design and layout (5+ yrs min). Java Web Framework (Apache Wicket) JDBC / SQL experience and troubleshooting. ORM (Apache Cayenne) Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL. Open Source projects and library experience and usage. Ability to create API’s to access undocumented systems data sets. Ability to create automated processes programmatically. Adobe Flex 3.0 / ActionScript 3.0 Reporting: JasperReports & iReport Version Control: Subversion, CVS Build tools: Ant, Maven, Automated build processes Development tools: JetBrains Intellij IDEA (8.0+) IDE Java socket and communication development experience. Windows services and Java wrapped services. XML (SAX 2.0 & DOM), Web Services (SOAP, XML & RPC) and Ajax understandings and implementations. Ability to create clean and efficient code. Ability to understand when and how to refactor code. SNMP, LDAP and Schedulers (Quartz). Oracle 11. (Will start leveraging Oracle spatial SQL once migrated to 11 to tap spatial project data) Oracle 10g Express for local development. MS SQL 2000 & 2005 MySQL 5.0 Desired Skills: Able to work independently or very small team (1 to 3 persons). Able to work as a liaison to larger group (4 to 10 persons). Self managed with fast high quality results.
