*Job Title : QA and Testing Sr SpecialistLocation : Portland, ORDuration :12+months* *Rate Max : $35/hr* *Duties:* Implement automated and manual tests to verify build and release readiness in a rapid development environment Drive improvements to existing test automation, develop test suites, and automate both functional and performance end to end tests utilizing varied tools as appropriate Help define test methodology, criteria and test cases required to validate critical functionality Identify defects and write clear and reproducible bug reports following team standards for defects Assist in planning and execution of testing activities, primarily focusing on automation and performance Facilitates cross-team collaboration regarding tool development and process improvement Contribute to building on existing test infrastructure and automation tools *Skills:* manual and automated testing in a variety of environments such as web, client-server, mobile, etc. planning and designing tests around stated and implicit requirements, and executing manual test cases creation of automated tests using test frameworks (e.g. Selenium, java code, JavaScript) or, where needed, using custom code testing of 'headless' applications, either by directly exercising web services, APIs, or database stored procedures has worked with web service testing tools (e.g. soapUI, SOAtest, etc.) is comfortable working with complex systems architecture prior work with noSQL (mongoDB, in particular) is a plus Working knowledge of load generation /measurement tools (e.g. Performance Center, LoadRunner, JMeter) and methodologies Experience in performance testing of JVM-based application frameworks and application servers *Education:* Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least four, typically six or more years experience in a systems quality environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
