Requirement:
The role of Database Administrator is to design, implement and maintain
database systems for internal and client software applications, including
but not limited to shopping cart websites, process automations and data
processing.  The DBA is primarily focused on project work across
staging/test and production environments.
he infrastructure is Microsoft based .net SQL server 2008+.
The DBA works independently or as part of a small team to develop new
systems or enhance existing ones.
Direction comes from technical architects or project managers to complete
functionality assigned for development.
The DBA will collaborate with Network Administrator in managing server
configuration, security and data backup.
Quantum expects the Database Administrator to carry him or herself with the
highest level of professionalism and personal performance possible, will
work enthusiastically to meet or exceed all performance goals set by
Quantum, and will contribute his or her utmost to assist Quantum in
achieving its goal of consistently bringing value to its customers.
The IT Database Administrator reports to the Development Manager as
outlined in the company organizational chart.
 Job Requirements:
Overall 5+ years’ experience as a Database Administrator including:
Substantial experience in database administration with SQL Server
technology (MCSA preferred).
Experience with identifying, analyzing and improving query/database
performance within our applications.
Experience with installation, configuration, backup, design and development
of SQL Server.
Experience in inventory/order management systems is preferred.
Knowledge of IT security relevant to data protection and data integrity.
Proficiency in English.
4-yr college degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or
equivalent experience is required.
Job Responsibilities :
Perform maintenance of patches, backups, restores and performance tuning on
database servers
Recommend new strategies and architecture to prevent issues and enhance
efficiency of data systems.
Implement and maintain database elements including but not limited to
table, stored procedure, view, function, SSIS package, SSRS reports and
security objects.
Create database design document at architectural and functional level.
Troubleshoot and fix issues.
Collaborate with application developers, variable programmer, PM, QA and
other IT team members.
Plan, manage and track system changes
Administer access permission
Adhere to all policies and procedures related to security and protecting
privacy of client and company information.
Role will work directly with confidential client data containing protected
health information and/or personally identifiable information and
individual must complete annual HIPAA training.
Support other tasks and responsibilities, both permanent and temporary as
assigned or directed by management.
