*Title Oracle Applications Engineer * * * Job Description The Oracle Application Developer/Support Engineer will be responsible for on-going support and maintenance of the Oracle applications environment – e-business suite (version 11.0.3 and 11..5.10.2 (11i) including AR, General Ledger, AP, PO, OE, and Inventory). This includes support of Oracle application users and their daily requirements, general troubleshooting, data fixes, new release/patch acceptance testing and deployment, query and report creation, and light Oracle DBA tasks. Also must be able to work with Oracle Support with service requests. This person requires strong communication skills and will work with our in-house Oracle super-user team, management, and peers to plan and implement various MIS initiatives related to Oracle. - Minimum 2-5 years experience with Oracle applications (AR, General Ledger, AP, PO, OE, and Inventory). - Experience with Oracle Applications 11.0.3 and 11..5.10.2 (11i) - Adept knowledge of Oracle Discoverer/2000, Developer/2000. - Knowledge of basic Oracle DBA tasks and UNIX shell scripting. - Oracle SQL/PL-SQL/PRO*C programming - Experience with database recovery and back-up. - Experience with Oracle rapid cloning methodology for 11I. - Configuring & maintaining workflow. - Experience with Unix Solaris development/production environments. - Ability to conform and comply with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. - Familiarity with “PASTA” printing for Oracle applications. - Familiarity with J-initiator and Java virtual machine implementation for apps. - Experience with AD patching methodology for Oracle 11i. - Clear verbal and written communications skills - Ability to work well on a team - Drive and determination to get the job done BS degree in Computer Science and/or minimum 2 years experience in Oracle application development and end-user support.
