Thanks in advance. *Role: QA/Testing - Web applications* *Location: MA* *Contract Duration: 6 Months* Our end client is looking for a 6-mo QA consultant to start asap for the following role: Education and job experience which demonstrate the ability to: - Communicate verbally and in writing - Execute manual or exploratory testing that is structured - Write test plans documenting the structured testing so that it is repeatable manually and ready for conversion to automation - Plan and organize your work to meet dates. - *Team-oriented 3-6 years of progressively responsible experience testing software * * * *Specific Requirements: * Demonstrated ability to: Learn new tools and technologies as needed to work in an organization moving from manual, exploratory testing to automated, planned testing. *Responsibilities * - Develop manual and automated tests for the client's Applications using exploration and available documentation. - Good understanding of general Software Testing processes - Work primarily with other *Quality and Software Engineers in the Engineering group * - Some contact with Product and Client Management staff. - Maintain status of testing (currently maintained in *JIRA)* - Report application bugs using bug tracking tool (*JIRA) We are looking primarily for a manual tester of a Web Application. * - Some experience with querying a database with sql would be very helpful. - *We use TOAD and sqlplus here to access the Oracle database. * - We use IE and Firefox browsers.
