Equal focus will be on apps for Google’s Android platform and Apple iOS, cross-device, mobile web experience is desired as well. This position will work closely with team members [product manager, designers, etc.] in San Francisco as well as with remote teams. Responsibilities: - Design, architect, and implement new mobile apps for Android [and iOS] - Work with Product Managers, UX and Visual Designers to help shape the future of mobile products - Convert functional specifications and mock-ups into working designs and technical specifications - Work in an agile and highly collaborative environment - Develop proof of concepts and production apps. Qualifications: Essential Skills: - Proven mobile [apps and mobile web] development experience - Proven Android development experience – with apps released to customers - Proven experience working in multi-developer team environments - Proven experience in designing, developing and debugging complex connected applications - Experience in the full software development lifecycle and continuous delivery in an agile environment Desired skills: - Good understanding of network protocols and network stacks - Ability to work with a wide range of team members locally and remotely - Background in scientific or academic research a plus - Degree desired but not required.
