*Job Title: Software Quality Assurance AnalystLocation: Tampa, FLDuration: 6+ MonthsLocal or near byJOB SUMMARY:The EDW Software Quality Assurance Analyst is primarily responsible for testing the data integration interfaces for BBI’s Enterprise Data Warehouse and also the corresponding Business Intelligence Applications (which can include complex reports, interactive dashboards, OLAP and Data Mining Analytics)to verify it functions according to specifications. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONDesign test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures ensuring they are repeatable and compliant with standardsCreate and maintain the following QA Artifacts: Test Plan/Strategy, Test Cases, Test Issues List, Test Issues Document, Weekly Test Status Report, Test Coverage Report, Final Test ReportExecute all levels of testing which includes Functional, Integration, Black Box/White Box, Acceptance, Regression and PerformanceDocument software defects and validate after defect resolutionParticipate in design reviews of the data sourcing, data integration and business intelligence strategies and provide input on functional requirements, schedules, issues and risksIdentify deviations from standards and suggest modifications to ensure complianceMentor junior level QA TestersLead defect review meetings with project stakeholders representing the QA department at a professional levelUnderstand and document key functional dependencies between the enterprise data warehouse and supported applications QUALIFICATIONSComputer Science or similar degreeMinimum 4 years prior Quality Assurance testing experience HP Quality Center experience Front-end and Back-end testing experience Black box and White box testing experience Strong knowledge of QA testing principles and strategies 2+ yearshands onexperience working with Informatica Power Center highly preferred Experience with Oracle’s Business Intelligence (OBIEE) product suite (however consideration will be given if candidate is able to demonstrate an ability to be able to quickly apply skills and knowledge gained with other BI tools on similar past initiatives to this role) Experience with BI metadata repositories/logical data models and complex BI user interface objects (e.g. reports, analytics, ad-hoc queries, dashboards etc.) Familiarity with logical and multi-dimensional data models Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment and developing shell scripts Knowledge of Databases like Oracle DBMS, SQL server, etc. Strong PL/SQL and SQL development and performance tuning skills Advanced knowledge of data warehouse development and maintenance lifecycle and methodology Expert level SQL skills POS experienceTeam Player with a positive attitude Self-starter/self-motivated to aid in increasing QA’s efficiency and processes Ability to learn new technologies and areas of the business quickly Experience interacting with internal and external development teams and vendors Ability to work under pressure and meet scheduled deadlines Solid oral and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to setup and maintain EDW and ETL test environments Familiarity with Oracle ExadataExperience with BODSExperience with OLAP technologiesPrior EDW/Informatica development experienceKnowledge/Experience with Agile Philosophy Food Service or Retail Industry experience a plus*
